St Cross Interior Oxford Preservation Trust Awards 2011 - Building Conservation Award

Montgomery Architects have been awarded a plaque by the Oxford Preservation Trust in the category of "Building Conservation" for the work to St. Cross Church for Balliol College.

Oxford Preservation Trust's aim is to preserve and enhance the historic city of Oxford and its green setting, and the Trust’s annual Awards scheme recognises projects which have made a significant contribution to the conservation and improvement of the built or natural environment of Oxford and its green setting.

Montgomery Architects have been awarded a plaque for the work to St. Cross Church to provide an Historic Collections Centre for Balliol College.

"The high quality of the conservation work carried out by Balliol College to the 11th century St. Cross Church is outstanding ... This work has preserved the character of the church in its setting and made a significant contribution to the wider surrounds which include Holywell Manor and Holy Well Cemetery."
